Grey Images in co-operation with the Hellenic Athletics Association presents a collectors edition as a tribute to the anniversary 28th Athens Classic Marathon 2010 and the 2500 years since the battle of Marathon.
This edition proved to be our own photographic and design marathon due to the complexity of organizing the shooting in order to cover all aspects of the course, the long-term editing and image processing of thousands of pictures as well as the unique design of the book in general.
It is a remarkable hard cover book with 656 pages, aiming at introducing the original marathon route, through a depiction of the course and plenty historical information as well as presenting the human effort required for participating in such a race.
Our goal is to connect all the people with the ideals of the Marathon race and to honour all the runners, Greek and foreign, that participated in this strenuous course.
This edition is published under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Secretariat of Sports, City of Athens and the Hellenic Athletics Association.
